The Various Things Shown To Cause Swollen Gums

Gum problems can be caused by various things ranging from diet to unable to use a dental floss in a proper way or frequently. If flossing and brushing does not do the trick, there can still be something more going on. Vitamin C deficiency can bring forth swollen gums and gum disease. Gum conditions can be improved by getting enough vitamin C, while vitamin D helps reduce the risk for swollen gums and gum disease. Studies have shown that the increase of plaque build up is highly contributed by high levels of stress. So, if plaque is not removed it can also irritate the gums around your teeth leading to an early stage of gum disease manifested by red, bleeding and swollen gums.
