The napkin psoriasis
Psoriasis may appear very early in life, but rarely at birth. There is, however, in infants, a particular form of psoriasis called napkin psoriasis or swaddling of psoriasis. It is a skin lesions which are mainly at the headquarters level and are due to irritation of the skin by urine and feces. In suburb that the lesions are evocative of a psoriasis. This type of psoriasis also poses a problem on the diagnosis. It is difficult to know with certainty whether the baby has a psoriasis dermatitis or a seat resembling psoriasis. For other children, psoriasis should be differentiated from a seborrheic dermatitis, which could harm the crease, headquarters and the scalp.
Plaque psoriasis
Like adults, children may suffer from plaque psoriasis, also known as psoriasis vulgaris, composed of red lesions with well-defined contours and covered with thick white flakes.
Psoriasis drops
Psoriasis drops is a particular mode of occurrence in childhood.
This outburst is characterized by the sudden eruption of small red, scaly lesions especially on the trunk and limbs. This type of psoriasis occurs frequently after an episode of infection, such as otitis or nasopharyngitis. The levies throat often an attack by a streptococcus. Psoriasis drops is also readily confused with a fever rash.
