Dental examination is to check the condition
The dental examination is to check the condition of teeth and oral structures by the dentist and ensure their good condition. A review every six months is essential to maintain healthy teeth for life.
What the dentist can detect when a dental examination
According to the Canadian Dental Association, the dentist can detect the following problems:
* Deterioration of fillings (fillings), crowns and bridges and other restorations.
* Cavities between teeth, under the gum on the root exposed by the declassee gum and tooth decay under the fillings.
* The pockets caused by gum disease.
* The cracks and broken teeth.
* The wisdom teeth.
* The first signs of gum disease.
* The first signs of oral cancer.
* The signs and symptoms of other problems that can affect health in general.
Taking radiographs
During an initial visit to the dentist, it is advisable to take X-rays to complete the review. This is more X-rays from different regions where there are teeth, and a panoramic radiograph showing the teeth and jaw structures. Subsequent X-rays can be taken during visits back to the good condition of teeth. Radiographs in dental practice are safer because only very small amounts of radiation are used.
